About the Ocean Herald

The Ocean Herald began in 2008 as a fictional internet periodical to document the activities and provide news coverage for the artificial corporation of LeEMS and all of its related endeavors. Any similarity to true events or people living or dead is purely unintentional except where it concerns the personage of LeEtta Schmidt and her comrades. As real life developments happen within the artificial corporation of LeEMS that are news worthy, they will be reported here in an appropriately inflated and glossy way.

All the content of The Ocean Herald is the creation of LeEtta Schmidt and her constituents. So far, all news stories are complete fabrications and should not be taken to heart as more than inspiration. If you have already become the victim of supposed ‘news’ stories that originated here and you are angry you were duped, there is really nothing that can be done to sooth your injured ego. You should promptly contact the person that passed on that story as real news and make them feel as foolish as you do. If you think all of this is awesome, then you should drop LeEtta a line, she’d like to hear from you.

As to why LeEtta Schmidt created this thing at all: she found that she was unsatisfied with how her daydreams and her reality were not matching up so she decided to let loose some day dreams on her under-used web site account. While this project was meant to alleviate the frustration with other large projects not getting done fast enough by pretending like they were done already, the Ocean Herald and LeEMS Organization web pages have become an insane and demanding project of their own right. Conversely the Ocean Herald has given LeEtta the opportunity to work on another project that she had put to the side. She had wanted to generate a blog as if it was being written by someone in the distant future to hash out some of her ideas on where science and medical advances would put all of us one day. She usually sacrifices scientific possibility for creative supposition.

Working with the Ocean Herald

Currently we are bugging friends and family to generate some content and help us out since we've realized that in order to make a good looking and passable newspaper site, we have no where near enough articles. Although we are too young and disorganized to recruit writers, if you would really like to make friends with us and become a reporter of future events on the Ocean Herald, drop us a line and we may entertain the idea.
